The easiest thing to do is to blame Butch Davis for the Browns failure. Then I look at the team after two
weeks under Robisky. I would say that the coaching staff is only half of the problem, and the other half is the players. The
team is playing like the season ending 2 weeks ago. The team is not as bad as they are playing. They played well against Philadelphia,
but that was the game the sealed the fate for Butch Davis. The Browns had a chance to make a statement and Butch wouldnt pull
the trigger by taking a shot on 4th Down.
Since then the players have played with no heart. Jeff Garcia who was such a leader at the beginning
of his term here, helping get Winslow into camp. Then when Robisky has in his first team meeting who are these team leaders
stand up, and Garcia just sat there. They need to bring in a coach that will let Jeff do what he does, or bring in a QB to
fit the new system.
Our running game is a joke. That mainly has to do with are offensive line. We have 5 guys that
wouldnt even start in the XFL, and they are starting for us. I am not talking about the guys starting now either, I am talking
about the 5 starters that started the year. William Green is the probably the worst pick by Butch Davis due to the fact they
drafted his replacement a year later in Suggs. Green had 11 carries for 5 yards. When a rookie that was drafted in the seventh
round had 17 yards on 5 carries.
Then you look at the defense, through the first 6 games was ranked pretty well in the NFL, then in
the last 3 games they have looked like they are trying to pull there head out of butts.
After saying all this the main point the Browns stink is that they have no commitment to the
team or the city. The fans in the stand dont care if the team is good or bad. All we care about is that you go out there and
play your best everygame. Even if you are 1-15, we want to the game played right, not players walking out on the field thinking
of what they are doing that night. We need to bring in a coach that will demand respect of the players. I would of loved Charlie
Weis, but he would rather go to ND, then coach the Browns. Romeo Crommel is my next choice. He can bring in a winning
atmosphere to a team that is enjoys losing.
